Adopt a Pet

Adopt a Pet. Change a Life Forever. 🐾

At Love Cat&Dog Rescue Inc., we support adoption-related initiatives and may work with approved shelters, independent rescuers, foster caregivers, and animal welfare partners to help dogs and cats find safe, responsible, and loving homes.

Every animal has a story—and deserves a genuine second chance.

Animals presented through our adoption program or approved partners may receive food, shelter, veterinary evaluation, vaccinations, treatment, rehabilitation, and compassionate care before being considered ready for adoption.

Our priority is not simply finding a home. It is finding the right permanent home.

Our Adoption Fee

The standard adoption fee is $100 for dogs and cats, unless a specific animal or partner program clearly states otherwise.

We do not base adoption fees on breed, appearance, popularity, or perceived market value. Every animal deserves the same respect and protection.

Adoption fees may help support:

  • Veterinary care and vaccinations;

  • Food and daily care;

  • Medication and recovery;

  • Rescue and transportation costs;

  • Shelter or foster support;

  • Assistance for other animals still waiting for help.

Your adoption can change one animal’s life while helping strengthen future rescue and animal welfare efforts.

Our Adoption Process

To protect the safety and well-being of every animal, prospective adopters must complete an adoption application.

Applications may be reviewed by Love Cat&Dog Rescue Inc. or the approved rescue, shelter, or foster partner responsible for the animal.

The process may include:

  • Review of the adoption application;

  • Confirmation of identity and contact information;

  • Questions about the household and living environment;

  • Housing or landlord verification, when applicable;

  • Information about other people and animals in the home;

  • Discussion of the adopter’s experience and expectations;

  • A virtual or in-person conversation;

  • A home check, when considered appropriate;

  • Approval by the responsible rescue or adoption partner.

Once approved, applicants may receive information, photographs, and details about animals currently available through our active programs or approved partners.

Completing an application does not guarantee approval or guarantee the availability of a particular animal.

Why We Follow This Process

Our adoption process helps us:

  • Match animals with suitable families;

  • Confirm that the home is safe and stable;

  • Reduce the risk of abandonment or neglect;

  • Consider the animal’s medical, behavioral, and emotional needs;

  • Support responsible, lifelong adoption;

  • Protect animals that may have already experienced hardship.

Our goal is not the fastest adoption.

Our goal is a safe, responsible, and permanent home.

Animal Availability

Only animals specifically identified as available for adoption should be considered part of an active adoption program.

Some animals shown on our website, social media, educational materials, or fundraising campaigns may:

  • Already have been adopted;

  • Still be receiving treatment;

  • Be under the responsibility of an independent partner;

  • Not yet be medically or behaviorally ready;

  • Be featured only to explain our mission or a completed rescue case.

Availability may change without notice.

Veterinary and Behavioral Information

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate information received from veterinarians, shelters, foster caregivers, rescuers, and approved partners.

However, no organization can guarantee:

  • An animal’s future health;

  • Exact age or breed;

  • Long-term behavior;

  • Compatibility with every person or animal;

  • That an animal will never require additional treatment or training.

Adopters must be prepared for the financial, emotional, and practical responsibilities of lifelong animal care.

Thank You for Understanding

We understand that adoption screening takes time. Every step exists to protect animals that may already have experienced abandonment, illness, injury, neglect, or instability.

Adoption is not a temporary act of kindness. It is a long-term commitment involving care, patience, time, veterinary expenses, training, and responsibility.

If you are ready to provide a safe and permanent home, complete the adoption application to begin the review process.
