At Love Cat&Dog Rescue Inc. (“we,” “our,” or “us”), we appreciate every donation made to support our animal welfare mission.
Donations may help provide food, veterinary care, medicine, rescue assistance, transportation, shelter support, rehabilitation, emergency aid, adoption-related initiatives, education, and assistance to approved animal welfare partners.
Love Cat&Dog Rescue Inc. is a U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity. Contributions are generally tax-deductible in the United States to the extent permitted by applicable law.
This Refund Policy explains when a donation refund may be requested and how refund requests are reviewed.
All contributions made through our website, payment processors, fundraising campaigns, or other authorized channels are voluntary charitable donations.
Donations may support:
Food and essential animal supplies;
Veterinary examinations and treatment;
Medication, vaccinations, surgery, and recovery;
Rescue and transportation;
Shelter and foster-care support;
Emergency animal welfare cases;
Rehabilitation;
Adoption-related initiatives;
Education and cruelty-prevention efforts;
Approved shelters, rescuers, veterinarians, clinics, suppliers, foster caregivers, and other animal welfare partners;
Necessary fundraising, technology, payment processing, compliance, administration, and operational expenses.
Because donations may be allocated, committed, or spent shortly after receipt, donations are generally final and non-refundable.
However, we understand that payment mistakes and unauthorized transactions may occur. Refund requests will be reviewed individually.
A refund may be considered in limited circumstances, including:
A duplicate donation;
An incorrect donation amount;
An unauthorized transaction;
A confirmed technical or payment-processing error;
A donation submitted through fraudulent use of a payment method;
Another exceptional circumstance approved after review.
Submitting a refund request does not guarantee approval.
Refunds generally will not be approved solely because:
The donor changed their mind;
The donor later disagrees with the organization’s mission;
The donor disagrees with a lawful allocation of unrestricted funds;
A campaign did not produce the exact result expected by the donor;
The donor misunderstood an illustrative example of how donations may help;
The donor disagrees with campaign language, photographs, storytelling, or communication style;
A particular animal, project, or treatment became unavailable, unnecessary, fully funded, or impractical;
The donor expected control, ownership, voting rights, goods, services, or financial returns in exchange for the donation.
Unrestricted donations may be used where they are most needed to advance the organization’s charitable mission.
Some campaigns may expressly state that donations are restricted to a specific animal, treatment, program, partner, or purpose.
If a restricted purpose becomes:
Impossible;
Impractical;
Unlawful;
Fully funded;
No longer necessary;
Unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control,
Love Cat&Dog Rescue Inc. may, to the extent permitted by law and the applicable campaign terms:
Redirect funds to a substantially similar animal welfare purpose;
Apply the funds to another urgent mission-related need;
Contact the donor when reasonably practical;
Take another lawful action approved by authorized organizational leadership.
A change in the circumstances of a restricted campaign does not automatically create a right to a refund.
To request a refund, contact:
Email: sos.lovecatdog@gmail.com
Include the following information:
Full name;
Email address used for the donation;
Donation date;
Donation amount;
Payment method;
Transaction ID, if available;
Name of the campaign, if applicable;
Clear explanation of the reason for the request;
Supporting documentation, when relevant.
Do not send complete credit card numbers, bank account credentials, card security codes, passwords, or other sensitive payment information by email.
Refund requests should generally be submitted within 14 calendar days of the donation date.
Requests submitted after this period may be denied, particularly when funds have already been committed, transferred, or used for charitable purposes.
Unauthorized transactions should also be reported promptly to the relevant bank, card issuer, PayPal, Stripe, or other payment provider.
The 14-day period does not limit any non-waivable rights available under applicable law or payment processor rules.
We may review:
Transaction records;
Payment processor information;
Donation receipts;
Campaign terms;
Fraud indicators;
Communication records;
Supporting documents provided by the donor;
Whether funds have already been used or committed;
Applicable law and payment processor rules.
We may request additional information to verify identity, authorization, transaction ownership, or the legitimacy of the request.
Refund decisions are made based on the facts of each case.
When a refund is approved:
It will generally be returned to the original payment method;
Processing time will depend on the payment processor and financial institution;
The refund may take approximately 5 to 10 business days after approval;
International transactions may take longer;
Currency conversion differences may apply;
Payment processor fees may not be recoverable.
We cannot guarantee when a bank, card issuer, or payment platform will post the refund.
Payment processor fees, bank charges, currency conversion charges, and other third-party transaction costs may be non-refundable.
Where legally permitted, the refunded amount may be reduced by fees that:
Were retained by the payment processor;
Cannot be recovered by the organization;
Were incurred because of currency conversion;
Resulted from the donor’s bank or financial institution.
Any deduction will be disclosed when reasonably possible.
Donors may cancel future recurring donations through:
The payment provider;
The donor account or portal, when available;
A written request to Love Cat&Dog Rescue Inc.
Cancellation of a recurring donation prevents future charges but does not automatically refund prior donations.
Requests involving a prior recurring charge will be evaluated under this Refund Policy.
Donors should cancel recurring contributions before the next scheduled payment date.
To protect donors, animals, partners, and the organization:
Refund requests may be verified;
Identity or transaction documentation may be required;
Suspicious activity may be reviewed;
Fraudulent claims may be reported to payment processors or authorities;
Access to donation systems may be restricted in cases of abuse;
Records may be retained for fraud prevention and compliance.
We cooperate with legitimate investigations involving unauthorized transactions, fraud, money laundering, or misuse of payment systems.
Before initiating a chargeback, donors are encouraged to contact us so we can review the issue.
When a chargeback or payment dispute is opened, we may provide the payment processor with:
Transaction records;
Donation receipts;
Campaign disclosures;
Communication history;
Evidence of authorization;
This Refund Policy;
Other relevant documentation.
We do not discourage legitimate reports of unauthorized transactions.
However, knowingly filing a false or abusive chargeback may result in:
Restrictions on future donations or website access;
Submission of evidence to the payment processor;
Recovery efforts where permitted by law;
Reporting of suspected fraud.
If a donation is fully refunded, the original donation receipt may no longer be valid for tax-deduction purposes.
If a partial refund is issued, only the portion not refunded may remain eligible for charitable deduction, subject to applicable law.
Donors are responsible for maintaining accurate tax records and should consult a qualified tax professional regarding their specific circumstances.
Love Cat&Dog Rescue Inc. cannot guarantee:
A specific medical result;
Recovery of an individual animal;
Completion of a rescue by a particular date;
Adoption of an animal;
Availability of a particular veterinarian, shelter, foster caregiver, or partner;
That final costs will match initial estimates;
That every donation will fund one specific item.
Animal welfare cases may change due to medical conditions, treatment response, availability of services, transportation, legal requirements, partner capacity, or other circumstances.
The absence of a guaranteed result does not automatically entitle a donor to a refund.
Donations may be processed through independent services such as:
PayPal;
Stripe;
Fundraising platforms;
Social media donation tools;
Other approved payment providers.
Refund requests may also be subject to the policies, deadlines, procedures, and technical limitations of the relevant third-party platform.
Love Cat&Dog Rescue Inc. cannot override every decision made by an independent payment processor.
This Refund Policy is intended to operate consistently with:
Applicable U.S. federal law;
Wyoming nonprofit corporation requirements;
Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code;
Charitable solicitation and consumer protection requirements;
Payment processor rules;
Fraud prevention and financial compliance obligations.
Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
Love Cat&Dog Rescue Inc. may update this Refund Policy to reflect:
Changes in law;
New payment providers;
Operational changes;
Updated fundraising practices;
Security improvements;
Changes to donation systems.
The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
